If it turns out that I can make them without too much difficulty, and to a standard that I'm happy with then I'll gladly make a couple of extras for sale (with Adam's permission of course). If it turns out as well as this this one did then that would be peachy!TheWaddler wrote:very nice Oli!!

Great, i'd say give it a go then, how hard can it be, right?!Paradox wrote:If it turns out that I can make them without too much difficulty, and to a standard that I'm happy with then I'll gladly make a couple of extras for sale (with Adam's permission of course). Great review Oli. Do you happen to know who the other 10 puzzle makers are in this Apothecary box project? Besides Robert and Eric?

Re: Oli's Puzzle Blog
I'm not sure whether it's public knowledge or not as to who the other craftsmen are. I'm sure someone here could clarify that for me.

In which case just to be sure we shall leave it as 'twelve awesome puzzle craftsmen'. But believe me, this really will be one for the books!

How can something so familiar looking have such an ominous name?

I seem to have become a twisty freak over the last year! I'm having a lot of fun and it provides a huge variety of different puzzling experiences.
The nightmare cube does fill twisty hearts with horror! There are many experts who cannot solve it. It is a 2x2 cube on the outside and on the inside is a 3x3 - this leads to some very difficult blockages (bandaging). It's all hidden inside which means it's very hard to visualise. There's a nice little YouTube video here:
http://youtu.be/hulhupEw4rA
For me, I really enjoyed the camouflage cubes. These are 3x3x2 or 3x3x3 or even better a 3x3x4 cube, built on top of a 2x2 basic core. It is great fun and REALLY tough but due to the visibility it is more solvable than the nightmare cube.
So back to you Oli, can you solve it?
