I seem to have become a twisty freak over the last year! I'm having a lot of fun and it provides a huge variety of different puzzling experiences.
The nightmare cube does fill twisty hearts with horror! There are many experts who cannot solve it. It is a 2x2 cube on the outside and on the inside is a 3x3 - this leads to some very difficult blockages (bandaging). It's all hidden inside which means it's very hard to visualise. There's a nice little YouTube video here:

For me, I really enjoyed the camouflage cubes. These are 3x3x2 or 3x3x3 or even better a 3x3x4 cube, built on top of a 2x2 basic core. It is great fun and REALLY tough but due to the visibility it is more solvable than the nightmare cube.
So back to you Oli, can you solve it?
