Received the first cylinder and a sweta cross today. I’ll try to solve these before starting on my next maze.
Ordered these through a third party reseller. Did anyone get the newsletter recently?
I only had one email last october, shortly after signing up. Nothing since then. Did he forget just me, or just didn’t send any emails/newsletters?

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!
First cylinder already open. Very nice puzzle.
I think I was a little lucky. It felt like that, because I only partly understood what was going on.
Great to see the mechanism of this one!
Tomorrow I will start on the Sweta Cross. That looks much more intrigueing than I thought from the pictures.
What a genius that Will Strijbos.

I'd rather the opinion of someone here vs some stranger who knows jack about puzzles!
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I also got first cylinder long before understanding what was happening. I just knew i had a pattern going!

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!
Sweta Cross is less good than First Cross but it is still a really good puzzle... in fact it has a similar mechanism than a recent successful and much more expensive puzzle... but in the Sweta Cross it is made a wiser way! In fact solving this other puzzle made me realise how much Sweta Cross is genius and I am now hesitating buying it even if I solved it already on a copy which was not mine.
However it is a really unusual puzzle from Wil, quite easy and without any hidden mechanism, everything is in plain sight! It wont take you more than 10 minutes, but pleasant ones

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!
I agree pretty much with Swyrm's review. In my opinion the aluminum cross is a better puzzle. It really is a great puzzle. Sweta cross was made to be easier. I believe the story was that it was a gift for a group of people who aren't puzzlers. It's still a neat puzzle and worth having a copy if you can afford it. But if you can have only one, I'd definitely say get the original aluminum cross

Yes for a Swiss Bank if I remember well, that's why there is a wooden holder provided: to make like the swiss flag when you watch from aboveBrian706 wrote:I believe the story was that it was a gift for a group of people who aren't puzzlers.

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!
Will the aluminum cross take longer than 10 minutes? Lol
That is about my average on most sequential puzzles and locks, lower price range haha!

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!
Hmm... I'm not sure how difficult it was for other people but I think my open time was around 20 minutes. I found putting it back to the start was a little harder, which is odd since you have seen the whole mechanism once you open it.
