From what i was told at our local store it appeared that there were around 8 of them combined for the 2 stores in Minnesota. (minus 2 since Chyron and I bought today) So hopefully most of the other Marbles stores received a similar allotment.

Anyone having more trouble than normal with these? I am getting serious locking up in the start ring, as well as throughout the puzzle. Sometimes it's like it's a ratchet (without clicks) other times it's as smooth as normal. Almost feels like the pin isn't straight up and down but at an angle so certain directions are harder than normal. None of my other puzzles are behaving in any way like this one.

The blue they had on display felt the same way. Could barely get in the start ring and was rough for the first section. When marbles was first announced I checked out my local store and had the blue open in less than 5 minutes. Felt just like I remembered. Haven't played with any of the puzzles I purchased yesterday though.

My gunmetal feels just fine. It was a little, uh, sticky? when I first started solving it, but it's sliding perfectly now. If you continue having trouble I'd check with the store.
My experience so far:
