I'm pretty sure I'll be # 20 as far as opening goes. Why? Because there were a couple of static R1's that stumped me for an embarrassing long time before solving.

better have a long opening times than 2 mins XD
when i opened my green (2.5 hrs) i was less exited than opening my orange (before the green like a boss and 20 hrs)
so consider yourself lucky.
the most strange thing in revo's is that even two people solve a revo for the first time and start at the same time- the amount of hours of opening varies greatly. the catch is not to think out of the box, you have to think Chris

I think I'd be kind of choked if the first R2 only takes a day or two to solve but that would not be unexpected for the inaugural puzzle.

No point in making a race out of it - gota savour the experience this time around :)

Someone somewhere somehow calculated that the maze area on the R2 is about 2.5 times larger than the R1 puzzles. So a rough estimate for an entry static puzzle solve time will be a bit longer than before. Of course a lot of us have lots of experience with revo puzzles. They might fly through this puzzle.

...approx 29.6 sq cm to the R2 area of 63.5 sq cm (based on a 9.0 cm O.D.)

I thought some of us got encouraging emails. Now they've been spirited away. So far, no news for me.

well I am going to guess that Chris is working pretty hard at getting things done. I got ahold of a Used Gold and emailed the code so that I could get started. To my surprise I got a response from Chris at around 2 am UK time. So it would seem he was burning the midnight oil.
