I managed to open the first box. A little it fiddling and luck rather than knowing what was happening.

I also managed to get it back as it arrived which is awesome.

I got it last week and opened it in about half an hour. Than mailed Wil and understood I had to go on. So after another half hour I mailed him again with the explanation why it is called Lotus. Really love this puzzle!!

Well I'm still struggling with this one, I've got the coin out but havent got the 1st clue about why this thing is called the Lotus!

So I've come to the conclusion either my puzzle is defective or my brain is!

Well, I've been playing with it for 2 days, and I have no idea yet how to remove the first ring...
I made something "happen", but I suppose it's a step meant for a later phase, because it didn't help me at all...

I think I broke it... :? I *do* have a clue why it's called Lotus, but I got an extra "thingy" out (after it ate another "thingy"... I was trying to get back the thingy it ate, but it spat out *two* thingies instead of one) and now I can put everything back together except the new extra "thingy", which I don't know how to put back in...

You didn't broke it. I encountered the same. You can put the other "thingy" back later when you completely dismantled the Lotus!! Don't worry.
