CE delivery status thread
Re: CE delivery status thread
I ordered my CE beginning of sept 2010 and it doesn't matter to me if it takes another couple of months to obtain them, as i know they are going to be of the highest quality, and it has been said and confirmed numerous times priority is getting the CE sets out and this will be done before any new puzzles come out, if anything, news about new puzzles means that delivery is much closer.

Re: CE delivery status thread
Yeah, communication has never been their strong point (not since I've followed them). I think it's because they get so hung up on making puzzles, shipping out puzzles and all the other general business things, that they forget about us a bit.prodigy wrote:Yes, I also think they are doing what they can do, and you are right that it must be ok to produce other puzzles meanwhile. If I just could receive some information and updates every month or at least answers of my questions I send with PMs, then it is ok for me to wait (but I still think it is boring to wait for them, and I want them now).
They definitely need to work on it. Any updates will do, even if its just "Nothing's changed, will still be two weeks" etc. least it's communication!!
And I know what you mean. I want to get the Voyager Status thing but I need to wait till payday, which is only friday, but it seems like forever!!!!!

Re: CE delivery status thread
A lot of you seem to be complaining about communication issues with not getting replies from pm's and thats not surprising since the forum is not part of Revo HQ it is just something Chris set up for us to use and yes they try to be an active part of it but they have more important things to deal with.
I for one have never experienced any communications issues because I've never used pm's I email Joseph or Chris directly and I nearly always get a reply within 24hrs (occasionally it can take up to 48hrs). So i dont see how you can get upset about not getting replies via pm's because nowhere on the Revo site is it said that, pm's is a form of communication that is checked regularly:

this is the recommended way to contact revo (according to the site).

Ok, I apparently misunderstood this and used the PM. I should stop complaining and continue to wait or use email if I have questions. Thanks for the answers.RichAE91 wrote:So i dont see how you can get upset about not getting replies via pm's because nowhere on the Revo site is it said that, pm's is a form of communication that is checked regularly

Glad to have an official word on that. After all, it is not like they did not used to respond quicker via PM than any other way or that people have a reasonable expectation to be able to get a response through any method of communication open to them.
OOOOOOOoo
Re: CE delivery status thread
I believe that most people that have made posts in this thread have also tried all other means of communication. Although your case may be an exception in terms of frequency and amount of information received, it would be unwise to equate your situation with that of anyone else. That being said, I thank you for posting another avenue to explore in terms of communication with headquarters.RichAE91 wrote:A lot of you seem to be complaining about communication issues with not getting replies from pm's and thats not surprising since the forum is not part of Revo HQ it is just something Chris set up for us to use and yes they try to be an active part of it but they have more important things to deal with.

I am disappointed at the lack of public information about finishing up the R1 series. Although I enjoy the prospect of a new puzzle type, I am even more disappointed that there has been a greater amount of information released about this new series than there has been about the R1s. I am upset that no one was contacted about changes to the competition via e-mail even though Revo HQ has a registration database to contact everyone. I am upset that a thread is filling up with people that have invested money and have fully supported Revomaze just hoping for some official news yet it seems that we are for the most part being ignored.
Production delays can be understood, especially for a start-up company, but there is no excuse at all for a lack of communication. A few weeks or even a month without news can even be understood but when it goes into a quarter of a year, a half a year, and onward without substantial communication about something that people have poured money into, it is absolutely irresponsible from a business perspective.
So, if anyone else out there has a golden connection with Revo HQ, please share your information with the community. I can guarantee it will go a lot further in quelling those that are complaining than any link to a web-form.

Re: CE delivery status thread
I'll copy this quote from A look at things that have changed since the beginning. from Joseph, because it seems relevant here too:
RevoGuy wrote:Thank you for all your comments. We take all comments by customers and forum members extremely seriously and I hope to address some the points raised in this thread.
Firstly, the Collector Sets continue to be our top priority and we are working as hard as we possibly can to fulfil those orders. Anyone with an outstanding Collector Set order is more than welcome to contact me directly via email; joseph.nixon@revomaze.co.uk to discuss any concerns.
The history of problems Revomaze has incurred is well documented but since I have been associated with Revomaze we have made changes to insure we can continue to produce puzzles and fulfil orders in an effective and timely manner. The last four years have taken a great personal and financial toll on Chris and we have unfortunately had to make changes to ensure the survival of Revomaze; such as the planned competitions and prizes, additional Obsession puzzles etc. But we may come back to these in the future, should we be in a financial position to do so.
I would also like to reiterate the point that Revomaze is an extremely small, independent company and although we do ship puzzles worldwide the operation is ran from the garage of the Pitt family home.
Since its creation Revomaze has lost two major engineering firms and suppliers for stands and packaging and we have therefore had to make changes and we have had delays and for this I would like to apologise. However with these lessons learned we are moving onto R2 with confirmed suppliers for packaging, material and plating / anodising and we will be doing all machining ourselves.
I would like to reiterate that Chris continues to focus on the Collector Sets whilst I take the lead on setting up the R2. I can also confirm we will be producing stands in the future and our new packaging supplier will be supplying us with single Revomaze cases which will replace the current white cardboard packaging and these will be sent to original Revomaze Handmade owners as promised, in due course. Please see the images in coming soon for more details.
Should anyone like to discuss anything further please feel free to contact either myself or Chris directly. Thank you for reading my post and for you continued patience and support.

Re: CE delivery status thread
At the risk of putting more pressure on Chris and Joe,
I have now received a shipping number for the first of my CE sets !!!!!!!
From talking to Chris I know that these sets have not made a profit (so far) . In fact he has lost many many thousands of pounds in fulfilling his obligations on getting these sets out to us.
I thank Chris publicly for making good on his promises despite all the financial and other difficulty's he has had to overcome in getting this done.
You are an honourable man Chris and it's very much appreciated. Apology's for doubting you would ever come through on this. Apology's too for putting so much pressure on you at a time when you least needed it.
As an aside, I think I will be selling both my un-plated Ti's to give who anyone who really wants to have a go at one, as I realise that not everyone who is a real enthusiast can justify the cost of a whole CE set. This will also subsidise the expense on my outlay.
If anyone has any suggestions on the best way to do this please let me know.
Cheers,
Phill

As for selling the Ti's, there is a Buyers and Seller's thread around here somewhere (here) that, in all fairness, should be used to sell unwanted Revos, but I'd be happy to take one of your hands right now (as I call dibs)
