Hollow or solid cores ?

I was looking at the photos of the CE mazes on the Revomaze website. That's when another useless question came to mind. Will the CE set have the original hollow core with the steel draw or the V2 version which is solid brass?

Since all the maps, acetate series code maps and certificates are supplied separately, there's no practical purpose to the hollow version. I suppose it doesn't matter much, but I know my assumption was that they'd be hollow with the steel draw. I'm betting that they'll be solid V2 type cores. We'll find out soon, hopefully.

I'm hoping they will be hollow cores. I like the extra functionality of the drawbar, and when I recently got a copy of the green v2 because I couldn't wait for the CE to get sent, I found it a little dissapointing. Especially since it tries to emulate the look of the drawbar by having a little bump there.

Well it's labeled as a V1 Extreme Collectors Set, so I'm expecting to get V1 puzzles myself. I know the photos are using V2 cores, but I'd guess the manufacturing of the sleeves and the cores are managed separately.

I'd guess the cores in those photographs are all V2 Blue Extremes, because it's easiest to put together/apart and they probably had plenty in stock not yet packaged.

They manufactured the Ti metal ones with the draw bars.

I expect them to be solid cores since, like mentioned above, they won't have certificates or maps in them. Also, since I'm getting the gold plated version I prefer this as there will be less metal on metal contact. For those of us who intend to keep the cores out of the sleeves for collection and display purposes it makes more sense if they are solid.

I would expect all to be Ex V1 hollow cores since its been sold as such on the website when they first appeared for sale a long long while back. My understanding is that the CE Set is a display set consisting of Blue to Gold exactly the same as individual Ex puzzles in the series.

I would be extremely disappointed if they are V2 cores...if it were the latter, Revo HQ should have made this clear to buyers...perhaps RevoGuy can shed some light on this?

For the CE versions another reason why I would expect them to be solid cores is because the extra pin used to hold the inner draw in place tends to scratch the crap out of the inner surface of the sleeves. At one time Chris had considered the idea of making extra pristine sleeves available for people who had this happen while solving the standard edition ones.

Just to be clear, I don't have any info one way or the other. I was just speculating since there's no reason to hide anything inside the CE puzzles. At this point we're going to get whatever they decided to make.
