Clear Sleeves
Re: Clear Sleeves
Chris if you'd like I can throw my orange in my smooth sleeve and my ridged one and snap a few photos.

Re: Clear Sleeves
I have both available, and can photo or video any sleeves requested.
I must get round to making a better video of the ridged sleeve, and also make one for the clear, however traveling kinda set me back a bit there ... just not enough time.
Sadly as Louis and Allard have pointed out, you have to be a little careful with Silver or the HM since there is a slightly larger hole for the core than in the official sleeves. Part of this is that the hole diameter is non standard, so I cannot get an exact drill bit to match, and the rest is the polishing process to make the sleeve completely transparent. As Louis mentioned to me, Silver is still possible, but takes a little care, and if it all goes wrong, just unscrew the pin!
Thanks to all for the kind words, I'm glad you all like the sleeves. At the rate they're being ordered, I may have to buy more springs!

Of course. I'll work on that done when I get back home from work, if work doesn't kill me first.Paradox wrote:I'd appreciate that as well! In the Orange Open Group though.Chyron wrote:Chris if you'd like I can throw my orange in my smooth sleeve and my ridged one and snap a few photos.

Re: Clear Sleeves
If you've not seen it yet, there's a writeup on the sleeves from Allard, and independently, I have a followup on my own blog about the process of making the sleeve into a working puzzle.

I'm going to try my BlobV2 in there at some point, once I can actually be bothered to sit down and reopen it!!! Foolishly closed it after I opened it the first time ..... hasn't been open sincepcad wrote:Has anyone tried your sleeves with an Obsession core yet ?

Should work exactly the same tho, as they are the same measurements (i believe)
