I had my transparencies scanned and ready to go in photoshop. I was expecting ONLY the gold map, so when I saw all of them, I was quite shocked.
Anyway, my method was simple.
- Import into Gimp (faster the photoshop)
- turn white background to transparent.
- save as PNG
- repeat for all images.
- throw all images into Keynote/Powerpoint
- line up the fiducials.
- viola.
All in all it took me about 3 minutes to do the whole process, but I was in a meeting and couldn't get away...

Any idea when the official results will be announced?
If I were one of you guys, I'd still enter the correct solution even now. The rules that are still on the website are somewhat Byzantine at best and it may be that the series code winner that emailed the solution fastest and is available for the live event will be the one awarded a purple Revomaze. Then again, perhaps things have changed. Wouldn't be surprised. Still happy to see progress to wrapping this thing up.
Good luck to whoever the series code winners are.

According to the emails sent out, you had one attempt to submit your solution. All other submissions would be ignored. The winner will be announced tomorrow, and the winner from each region would be based on the timestamp of the submission.
So, the rules are a little different to the original statements on the website.
OK. Just wondering, it certainly isn't clear to me what the original description meant.

Does anyone know if we will still get the proper acetate gold map through the post to complete the collection? I've asked Joseph but got no response. Just wondered if anyone else has asked and got an answer?
I'd certainly like to have the original acetate to be able to add to the certificates in a frame somewhere. Would be nice to have the completed map, although keeping it clean while stacking is a pain!
I would like the last one. I ended up with a giant version of all of them because I printed the maps emailed on transparencies!

We would all like a purple for solving the gold sounds like a fine plan to me!
On a side note - I'm unlikely to compete in the live competition. That would require practice on a silver..my silver is not practicable
