i assumed the "other trick bolts" were Wil's, but i could be mistaken :?

EDIT:

I've finally sorted both my Washer Cylinders and they are now working perfectly. Thanks to Rich's trick and lots of sanding, polishing and de-burring they are back in working order.

...... and I love them!!!! (now they are working) such a brilliant puzzle, and a very clever elegant solution too!!! :D
Apart from Wil's bolts, if you want serious bolt puzzles, go for Rocky Chiaro's. He has about I think 6 or 7 each costing about $80-90. The One-Wa-Sure which is very good.
Where would I get some of Rocky's then, his email??

Everything, must we tell you?

Google "rocky chiaro bolts" and you get links to several rather awesome puzzle blogs (and mine!) and a link to Brass Puzzles by Rocky... http://www.brasspuzzlesbyrocky.com/destinations.htm

Maybe a little off-topic, but has any of Rocky's bolts similar/same solution as any other bolt? I own five bolts already, and don't want to buy the same puzzle twice, and Rocky's are a bit expensive.

Just one more question to add to that, then back on topic, any other of his puzzles on the site Allard (kindly) posted worth getting?

Right, now back on topic ..... CAKE!!! ;) :D

Possibly. But it really does depend on the bolts you already own. As far as I remember, none of Rocky's bolts use the same mechanism as any of the more common mass produced puzzle bolts, and even if they did Rocky's versions would be infinitely better.

Rocky is also well known for his key puzzles, so I'd also recommend those. But honestly I'd go with the bolts first.

For anyone interested, I wrote a post about all of Rocky's bolt puzzles here:

Just got the Iwahiro cylinder, First Box and the Lotus!

Solved the Iwarhiro cylinder pretty quick.

Whats the idea for the First Box? Pulling the whole top off or just getting the frowny face  plug out?
