I'll leave it a couple more days and then I'll add the solution to the post for everyone to check against.

And so long as no one asks you to explain the difference between V1 and V2 it won't be a problem. Oh...or the sticker colours on the Obs. Or the algorithm for the Gold....

My first attempt at a twisty puzzle shape modification is finished, and I am very happy with the result!

Thank you! Now I'm trying to decide what to make next. People keep suggesting a Ghost Cube. Not sure if I'm ready to start extending pieces yet though.
