I am supposedly a member of the “Elite” group which according to an email from Chris from when he created this group (dating to December 1 2011) those of us in this group should get updates and news on all new puzzles before anyone else and also get special discount rate on all purchases throughout 2012. I’m not sure about the discount thing, but I have received no advanced notice on either this Lime puzzle or the Titanium SEs. I don’t always have the ability to check the web site and/or the forums every day so I didn’t notice that the Lime was up for pre-order until a day after it was listed and I completely missed anything about the Titanium SEs which allowed someone else to purchase my supposedly reserved serial number (#5). I’m really not happy about that one at all.

Did anyone else in the “Elite” group (supposed to be 20 of us or so) receive any notice on these puzzles?
I received an email about being one of the first 20 to reserve my number and that I could order it. I think the only reason I received the email was because I actually contacted Joe when I saw Lime on the website.
The only way I found out about the puzzle was on the website which seems to change quite often. I dont think there was any official announcement.
Never received any sort of email about Ti being available for people passing theirs on. Would have been nice considering I may have picked one up.
How did you get in to this "elite" group?

Supposedly I'm an "elite" customer also. I learned of the Lime from someone else's post in another section of this BBS. Perhaps elite means something else, who knows?

According to the email from when Chris setup the Elite Group it was for those of us who pre-ordered the Handmade, Gold, and Orange (therefore limited to 20 people).

Yip,turns out that didn't really give us any benefit whatsoever!

[Thought that the Ti-SEs went out to people who have ordered CE sets and would be getting a Ti in that set ...so I'm guessing that someone ordered a CE set and requested, or was allocated, #5, and therefore got Ti-SE#5 ... I'm assuming that you haven't ordered a CE set either then, stet? - was that what you were referring to? I didn't think that Ti's had been made available for sale on their own, although these days, nothing would surprise me...]

I got an email about the Ti as I ordered the collectors set before (cannot remember but think) dec 2010 (got the email when I ordered it was in sept 2010) and was asked if i wanted one.

I am a member of the elite group. I was told this was because of my early purchase of the collectors set, I dont have a HM (want one though!! :D ) thus why I think this! I was never told the benifits of the Elite group but because I was a member I was allowed a blue and bronze from my collectors set early.

Lime was mentioned on the forum and were asked to contact Joseph with wich No. you would like.

The problem here was that only 50 Titanium SE were made. So people asked for the closest to their CE set number eg. Jerry with set 105 asked for TI (SE) 05-50. Presumably when he gets his set, the Ti in that will be 105 ?

And maybe collectors set number 05 will have a regular ( non SE ) Titanium with serial number 05.

Supposedly I'm in that group due to my ordering a CE set a long time ago, gold plated no less. I'd have to look up what the benefits were but there wasn't anything that I could take advantage of immediately. But this strays from the threads topic.

Back on topic about the Lime. I am somewhat apprehensive of the difficulty mentioned. I still have five unopened puzzles, Silver,Gold, Red, Orange and Titanium. Of these I expect to be able to open at least 3/5 of them. I doubt I'll ever open the Silver despite having > 90% mapped.

Let's hope these new puzzles are ready sooner than the Gold was.

Well get cracking then!!! ;) I suggest you try the Orange, it should be relatively easy to shift, but quite a lot of fun :D
