BarnDoor, wow you are lucky, you got one with a cute brass rod!BarnDoor wrote:I had another go at the "First Box" today. I opened it, and then worked out how to lock it up again. Repeat solves are easy and reliable. It is really well made. Another good puzzle from Wil.

Yes Jerry, I had to wait for batch two, and I think they all came with the gold anodised rod, with a smiley face on one end and an unhappy face on the other. Of course, as received, it had the sad face peeping out of the hole in the side of the box.jerryloo71 wrote: BarnDoor, wow you are lucky, you got one with a cute brass rod!
It might be worth emailing Wil to see if he has any spare ones.

Good idea....the normal rod looks so nondescriptBarnDoor wrote:Yes Jerry, I had to wait for batch two, and I think they all came with the gold anodised rod, with a smiley face on one end and an unhappy face on the other. Re: Wil Strijbos!!!
Yes they're the same, the other one is the washer cylinder. I don't have that yet but I can say from experience that the First Cylinder is great. One of my favorites to give to people to try.TheWaddler wrote:YAY!! i'm on Wil's mailing list![]()

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!
I'd personally choose the Washer Cylinder over AlCyl. AlCyl has a clever design to it, but the Washer Cylinder is much better as a puzzle.
