Guess The Puzzle!

Anyone else fancy playing a game of 'Guess The Puzzle'?

The rules are simple;

I'll start by adding a picture of a puzzle (either the full picture or just part of a picture or maybe even a distorted picture) and you have to guess what it is and name it in this thread.

If you get the name right then it's your turn to post your picture of a puzzle for other people to guess.

Wait for your guess to be confirmed as correct by the person who posted the picture before adding a photo of your own.

Don't post any pictures of standard burr shapes though, or one round could go on for months...

I've got the cheap "Lagoon" version of this which is called "Alcatraz"

I think the puzzle was designed by Ronald Kint-Bruynseels

But the picture is the very nice Eric Fuller built puzzle, called "Die in Prison"

But the picture is the very nice Eric Fuller built puzzle, called "Die in Prison"

Alcatraz is actually a version of Die in Prison 2 (maximum security).

Die in Prison has a level 6 solution whereas #2 has a level 12 or 13 solution (if my memory serves me correctly).

I believe that Eric's version of Die In Prison (shown in the picture) also has a puzzle box as the centre cube rather than just a solid block... in case anyone cares.

I'm not 100% sure, but is that The Yak puzzle by Dick Hess?

Very close - but not the "Yak" ( which is similar, but not quite this shape). It is a Dick Hess puzzle, and it is an "animal"...

Yes - he might get this one, though it isn't reviewed on his blog as far as I know.

Anyway you're the closest so far...
