I think I need to give mine a good polish. My cylinder has a few nicks on the side of it that I questioned but Wil didnt seem to believe me. Hopefully I can get them out or just leave them!

We still talking about puzzles?

Finally got my washer cylinder working correctly after having a little talk with paradox and tbh i am not impressed, after about an hours play with my washer cylinder the mechanism seized up resulting in me being able to open it prematurely, but as i didnt know this had happend i wasted 2 whole days trying to figure out how things worked with no success before i contacted paradox and his reply got me thinking things had seized so after about 40 mins of hard work i managed to dissassemble it completely finding that components inside had damaged each other and to get it bakc into working condition i had to file down certain parts and then polish them.
So all in all i am quite disappointed with this puzzle compared to the other aluminium puzzles i bought of him this one was a huge let down

Well I'm on my second one after I totally killed my first
I still utterly love it though, it's a really reliable mechanism once you tidy it up.
Made damn sure with my new one that there wasn't a chance of a repeat of my first jamming solid

Yeah yeah i decreased the tolerances to about 0.5mm and it works like an absolute dream now! i really dont see why he went to such accuracy cause with the mechanism there is obviously going to be wear and as a result fine bits appearing which are likely to seize the mechanism with tolerances so high!

My aluminium washer puzzle package came from Wil Strijbos.
It came with a note inside from the customs people saying this
"Opened by Australian Customs".
The package may have been but I don't think the puzzle was ! LOL
More torture for me
The Revomaze package didn't get opened but Wil's did ... I wonder if it's because it comes from a land of rather liberal drug laws ....
Apparently .. things that look like hand grenades are fine .... Little aluminium cylinders ... well ... that might have anything in it..
Pretty much all of the metal puzzles that I've ordered from Wil have been 'inspected' by customs on the way in. By 'inspected' I mean that they openend the box, twiddled with the contents, taped it back up with their special tape and sent it on to me.
