New Boxes

Now that we are talking about new boxes anyway, noticing that people recently reported their revo's arriving, I wonder what type of box they are arriving in these days...
Anyone care to share a picture?

bronze come in in all black, without the outer sleeve or any markings

silver came in in just a standard random box

My Blue came in a black cardboard tube, Green and Bronze only in a plastic bag and the Silver in a standard cardboard box.
Silver did not even have the black pouches anymore...

This is very disappointing. For an expensive puzzle Id expect a decent box!

All three of my obsessions have come in different packaging. The first was in a nice box, a bit of an overkill for the "economy" version. The second came in a yellow zip-up pouch. I thought this was a nice choice given the price. My last (bought over a year ago) came in a vacuum sealed bag like a slab of frozen fish. Not too impressive and didn't make a great impression. All three were purchased over a 4 month period last year.

I really hope after all the time and patience waiting for Gold it will come in some sort of decent box. I would be highly disappointed if I received a $100+ puzzle in a cardboard tube.

Dont dispare my friends. Chris did us right after the silver error did he not? We have the new wooden boxes for our Golds, and i'm certain Chris will do us right here as well.

He got us our puzzles as quickly as possible even though he did not have appropriate packaging. When the wooden boxes are available, i'm very certain we will get them at a discount if not better!

I know waiting for the Gold is daunting, but when it releases, there will be plenty of goodness in itself as well as many other things me thinks.

Well said ReVoRabbit. Chris was decent enough to share the ordeal he has faced with us and still promises to bring us another top notch puzzle.

Also remember that the new boxes are originally a replacement for the "display stands", which were at an extra cost!

really? i don't really care what it comes in as long as it's in one piece when it gets here XD ...

but i'm not as hardcore as you guys, i guess if i were then i would like a nice display box or something
