Re: What other puzzles do you recommend?

Post by TheJuggler »

On returning from my trip to Scotland for work, I had three boxes waiting for me.

One from Wood Wonders, one from Cubic Dissection, and a very big one from Puzzle Master. I also have a box on it's way from Vinco directly, so expect a bunch of new reviews coming soon.

I will also be getting back to my Matrioshka build this week as well, so there should be an update to that very soon.

To add to this, I'm in the process of building a burr building jig, and if successful, I'll be making burr sets to allow any number of burrs to be built. If it works out well enough, I may even consider selling sets, but that will be on an as requested basis.

Stay tuned to the blog for lots of updates!

Here's a recommendation, but this time it's cheap (for a change). ;)

2-Piece Pyramid (Keyring) by Puzzleparadox, on Flickr

It's a really nice miniature keyring version of the well known 2-Piece Pyramid puzzle. It's great to carry around to help explain to people that the puzzles you collect aren't jigsaws. :D

And at only 4 EUR from Sloyd you can't go wrong.

@mhuti: Thank you for the recommandation :-)

You can have a better view of the Quadratum Cubicum on its website http://qucub.com. You can order it online to the craftmen's shop I work with. But I also put the plan of the 68 pieces for the ones who have access to a laser cut. Enjoy!

Some may already be familiar with this one, but I thought I'd throw it out anyway. It's the homepage for Bart Buie, and he makes some very nice Coffin reproductions. Well worth a look as his work is stunning.

I can highly recommend Opening Bat... (that I finally managed to open fully after receiving it just before Easter weekend!) :P

Oh aye! Going to need to choose my words carefully when I do, but it's an EPIC puzzle - sequential discovery at its be(a)st! ;)

Ah! So you've finally finished it? :) Approximately how many separate stages were there in the end?
I look forward to the blog entry

Any chance you'd be willing to let other enthusiastic puzzlers have a go at solving it? I'll trade you another go at a couple of salt and pepper shakers! :D
