Anything going on with these?

It has been seven months since we paid for these which were originally supposed to be shipped to us in December (if I remember correctly). We all know that there has been a lot of issues with the Golds (mostly on the engineering/machining/plating side of things) which caused delays but due to the nature of these I was under the impression that they could/would be made independently of them. I guess I was really hoping that these would have come along during the Gold delays.

Not sure who Chris really talks to these days.

My understanding is that these were supposed to be made in the downtime after the Gold was released. Since the Gold hasn't been released, they haven't been made.

I think we need to start a release date pool for the Gold/Orange/CE/Handmade. Everyone chips in to buy Series 2 for the person who is cumulatively closest to all four dates. As an entirely cynical guess at the timeline, I would say we will see: Gold - August 14, 2011; Orange - November 20, 2011; CE - March 7, 2012; Handmade - December 23, 2012.

Note: These estimates are based on personal hunches generated from the information that everyone who has read these forums has access to. I do not have access to any special information as a moderator and these do not represent official dates or even official guesses in any manner. These are merely just another puzzler's speculation as to what is going to happen based on his experience to date. And believe me, with money being tight these days it is hard to wait, I am at the point of officially waffling as the cost of these puzzles is enough to cover several bills that are burning a hole in my pocket. However, I plan on sticking it out. *sigh*

My understanding is that Chris is working on them as he gets the opportunity and they are progressing nicely, but they are unlikely to be released prior to the Gold.
