I was bidding on it, but it ended up a little more than I had available at the time to spend on a puzzle. Oh well. I ended up with 3 KariKuri boxes that I won in the lottery from the Christmas leftovers instead so not all bad :)

My puzzle boxes from Makishi have arrived! :D

I have managed to open the 30 move box but I just can't make progress after about 30 moves on the 50 move box.

They are great puzzle boxes, and they don't work quite like you'd expect them to. Plus they're cheap....which is also pretty cool!

The only place you can really get Makishi's puzzles from are from Makishi himself, so that's where they came from. :D

Here's a great puzzle that was loaned to me by Ali:

Image
Stewart Coffin's Three Piece Block by Puzzleparadox, on Flickr

It's a reproduction of Stewart Coffin's 'Three Piece Block', and it is a whole lot harder than it looks. It's only three pieces made up of cubes connected at funny angles but it makes the really cool shape shown in the picture.

If anyone knows where to get an original of this then please do let me know!

And sorry about the constant posts, I've gotten a bit carried away recently with so much arriving at once. Hopefully you guys don't mind hearing about what's going on in my little puzzling world. :)

I too have been spending like there's no tomorrow! But I am an amateur compared to you

I doubt I will be allowed to purchase much more for a while!

Please do keep up the torrent of posts - it is giving me lots of ideas for my own future purchases!
