I was just thinking that a color case hardened type finish would look really neat. Does anybody know if this can be achieved with annodizing? I dont know if the aluminum used in Revos can take the heat required to case harden them.

Don't know how aluminum acts with heat but when I heat treat steel you can get all kind of beautiful colors. Only problem with that is it would still stain really easy from your fingers.

Yea, that what i was thinking, after seeing case hardening on several custom guns. It really is quite beautiful, but I'm not sure if it can even be applied to aluminum, much less if it will stand up to the heat requirements :/
