That's the problem with finding new puzzle sources! You need to find extra sources of money to buy all these puzzles! And in my case, space to put them!
I would love to post pictures of my collection (it is somewhere between 500-100 puzzles), but most of them are crammed in cases or in storage boxes... Sad... I need a bigger house! But alas, with a baby on the way, I'm losing space, not getting more, so more crammed it gets!

Re: Puzzle Collections
Congrats smiteo, but not to stray off topic, I do need a Japanese puzzle box soon. I hope simple ones are not too expensive.

You can get decent quality ones relatively cheap. Check out Ebay as a starter.Gdamatov77 wrote:Congrats smiteo, but not to stray off topic, I do need a Japanese puzzle box soon. I hope simple ones are not too expensive.

Re: Puzzle Collections
There are 324 step boxes on the US ebay site now. Pricey, but if someone loves them, they're probably worth it.

Also a puzzle box that looks like a book...

Re: Puzzle Collections
super-cubi is a great puzzle... expensive, yes...
but it isn't as difficult as the 300+ moves would suggest.

Re: Puzzle Collections
Isn't the trick with those that it's more time consuming than difficult to open, with the trinary system? Although I'm sure losing track of where you were could just make it a pain too...smiteo wrote:super-cubi is a great puzzle... expensive, yes...

Re: Puzzle Collections
Super-Cubi is indeed easy. It's not too difficult to remember the order and it's just a case of repetition. I just love the aesthetics of the puzzle, the colours from the variety of woods used and the mechanism inside when you get it open. It is also a pleasure to open and close as it takes a few minutes to do it each time.DatabaseMonkey wrote:Isn't the trick with those that it's more time consuming than difficult to open, with the trinary system? Don't buy if want a real challenge, DO buy if you love quality craftsmanship and have nothing else to spend $1,000 on! (which I confess I didn't have spare but I'm compulsive like that!

Re: Puzzle Collections
Nigel, do you even have a room large enough to build the puzzle in?
