For US people, shipping concerns.

Post by stet »

I’m concerned that there may be issues either now or in the very near future with shipping Revomazes to the US by airmail. Because of recent terrorist activities the US may stop accepting packages over 1lb (453g) by airmail. Japan has already officially banned shipping of these packages to the US from their post offices and other countries are expected to follow.

This has the potential to really mess things up for the Gold when it ships.

And we thought that the delays many had with the Silvers going through customs was bad.

That's really awkward. That's how a few terrorists got the whole world in their hand... If they used the metric system, it would be 1kg instead of 1lb.

The fact that this is happening and there are already bans being put in place means that the terrorists have won

Potential solutions:

- RevoGold Obsession 8-)
- Ship Maze and Sleeve separately
- Ship via a decent parcel service (if exists  ) in stead of 'the post office'
- one return ticked and some serious(ly insured) checked in baggage

If it means I get my gold, I'll fly to the UK, buy Chris a beer (warm) and stick it in my carry-on

Huh? Why would you stick a warm beer in your carry-on?

Maybe Chris himself flies to the USA with the RevoGolds in parts, then assembles and ships them from there. He could jus as well inspect a few potential LasVegas competition accomodations while being there...
Anyone near LasVegas willing to invite Chris for tea?

in my opinion, beer is best kept in a carry-on ;) Of course, everyone knows that beer is better cold. That's why I take mine warm. warm is teh better way to keep beer. (sorry  )
Maybe Chris himself flies to the USA....
It would be nice to see him and Revomaze at some of the gadget fairs in the US. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that he's extremely busy in the UK market and we may just have to wait.
