Just turned up at work and I had it open in about 30 seconds :(

It took me longer to get it out of Wil's wrapping

Nice idea though 8-)
Same here!

It is a nice idea, and I like it, but I think it would've been better if the idea was implemented as part of another puzzle rather than just by itself.
Oh oh! another less challenging than expected puzzle..first was the T7, now it seems another one like that

I think the AlCyl would've been far more disappointing if it cost $450 though. For the price I think it's okay. Plus, it looks very nice! :D

Oh yes, don't get me wrong Alcyl is lovely, I was just expecting something more I think :(

I've yet to be as impressed as I was/am with the first cylinder :D

Alcyl is good providing it is reset well... mine was when I got it.
I think how easy it is will also depend on how well its been made, the photos sent by Wil provide a massive clue... I hope that it's only a trick of the light that made them look like that in the photo.

I have one of the original exchange versions, and although it didn't take long to solve, it certainly wasn't as easy as is being made out here. I'll be bringing it along to MPP to compare with Wil's version as they look to have slightly different dimensions too.

I maintain that I'm really no good at opening things!
Mine's locked up solid! I haven't managed to open it yet - based on my recent experience I won't manage it either!

I may be rubbish at opening things BUT I have solved Wil's exchange puzzle! Plus I solved Allard's extra addition to it too.

It is a bit of a nightmare of fiddling but got there in the end - so I've sort of redeemed myself (just a little bit)

My Bottle from the exchange is still in it's cardboard box. I think from having talked to Allard that Wil was pulling my leg telling me that part of the puzzle was taking it out of the box (without removing the tape!)
