Well what can I say? Yesterday was absolutely brilliant! Here's a very very brief run down for anyone who is interested:

My day started at 06:30 when I woke up for Ali to collect me at 07:00, we then travelled up to the Birmingham NEC for about 09:00 which is when the doors opened to the public. We headed straight for the Revo stand to go and say hello to everyone. Chris Pitt was there along with Nigel (Barcared) and Chris (Bluesign2k), and I also met Michael Pitt and Nicole (RevoGirl) for the first time which was great! The stand looked pretty good too, the whole range was on display in a glass cabinet at the front and there were several Blue Obs & Exs that were being handed around for people to try out.

We all stayed around the stand for a while demoing Revos to anyone who looked interested, and it should be mentioned that there were A LOT of people who were interested! After a while me and Ali went for a wander around to see the rest of the things being promoted there, and there were quite a few very cool things, but I won't go into all of those now.

At about 15:00 (probably...I lost all track of time) me and Ali headed over to Allard's house to see what puzzles were on show for us this time, and once again the 'puzzle table' didn't disappoint! It was great to see Allard, Gill, Karl and Louis again, and we pretty much settled into puzzling straight away. But I'll go into this in more detail later on as well.

At 18:00 us at Allard's and the guys at the Gadget Show all headed over to a pub for a good chat and puzzle session. We sat outside, but couldn't get served any food there as the 'kitchen was too busy', but personally judging by the looks we were getting they probably couldn't find anyone willing to come over to the puzzle table and take our orders. But as we had puzzles in front of us it was impossible to pack up and move to another pub.....so we stayed anyway.

We had a great chat about many things (much of it Revo related), several jokes went back and forth ("Have you tried using a pencil?", "Blow on it!", "It's not as hard as the Elusive 'E' is it?") and after it got to around 21:30 and it was getting a bit dark and cold outside we decided to call it a night and we all headed our separate ways......until next time. ;)

Once again thank you so much for everyone involved yesterday, I had an absolutely brilliant time! A special huge thanks goes to Allard and Gill (and Ben & Jerry) for inviting us into their home and looking after us! I can't wait for the next one! :D

So guys - sorry I couldn't make it! Had to work and the drive to Birmingham would have been too far after that!

But today Graham (Afkan) and I had our own little East Midlands puzzle party!!!! :D :D

He was up in Sheffield with some friends for the snooker and we spent a very pleasant few hours in a coffee shop with a mderately large assortment of puzzles to play with. The visitors to Costa coffee did give us a few strange looks. Graham brought a camera and took a pic of the table which I am sure he will post.
I brought:
Explosion cube
Danlock B
Aluminium cylinder
Green apple
Blue revo ex (Graham's request)
Wausau 83
Computers choice unique 10 burr
Decemburr

He brought:
Red revo ex (my request) and red obs
Cast marble
Cast nutcase
Cast square
Cast quartet
Cast equa
Cast H&H
Metal Rubik's cube (he has a very novel solving approach!!)
An odd asymmetric twisty cube puzzle
Svetnashki puzzle

A great time was had and we both hope to make it to the next MPP

...superb... word is spreading...

Glad to hear you guys had fun... and know what you mean about getting odd looks from people in coffee shops, and no pubs as well.... never mind, they'll learn!

Guys that is a great choice of puzzles to share!

Perhaps the next meet should be an open-air event in Hyde Park, London.
(perhaps not! Transport of puzzles may prove difficult)

It will be great to see you at the next one

Just a few pictures of the MPP2, most of the time most of us were too puzzled to even think of taking pictures...

You should have seen his face when the RevoMini actually clicked into a trap!

Thanks for sharing those pics Louis :D , and thanks to Allard for passing the keyrings on to Chris.

Just curious, how many managed to get the dots to line up? :D
