Re: Airline travel with Revomaze?

I don't take them in my hand luggage. Having spoken with Chris, he explicitly recommends not taking them in hand luggage, as Security can remove them, so unless you are able to open them in front of security, it's probably not a good idea.

Also some airlines may take it from you due to the weight of the item as it could be dangerous in the cabin, clearly we are all going to try to hit someone in the head with our puzzles.

Sooooooo reading between the lines with what you didn't say ... you put them in your check in luggage and have no problems with them?

Sorry yes, that's exactly what I do, and I've had no issues travelling to a number of countries. Just remember that at 600g each, they quickly add to whatever weight limit you have for your checked bags!

I'm currently carrying nearly 2Kg of Revomaze in my checked bag.

Wow! I had no idea planes were such a big deal with the revos, but it totally makes sense. Any way this word of warning could be added to the FAQ for newbies?

Oh snap! There it is in tiny red text. I stopped reading after the "this thing is heavy" bit. I can't be the only person who stopped reading before it. Man I'd be so sad if my revo was ever taken away :( I guess no matter what you do though someone will always find a way to not see the warning. Even if it was bigger and everywhere. Hmm...

My guess is that they'd be fine with it if it were dismantled... but I guess if that were the case then it's probably unlikely that you'd be wanting to take it with you anyway.
