Re: Difficulty Sweet Spot

Post by Rdroege »

For me at least I've yet to find that aha moment in any of the dynamic puzzles I've started (Orange and Bronze). Ive traced the routes in the bronze countless times without finding anything significantly new. For that reason I bought a Red and have solved it after probably about 10 hrs of time. I enjoy the static ones just as much even if they aren't as hard, probably due to that I go about them without drawing any maps. Solving a simpler puzzle using my memory is just as rewarding as sitting and mapping out the harder ones, maybe even more so, and I would continue to purchase new ones in that same level of difficulty, as long as the price was reasonable.

I feel like the puzzles would get redundant after a while if they made several easy ones. There are only so many tricks you can add to a static maze. It is nice to have a learning curve as they get more difficult and I have learned something from each on I solved that helped me with the next but If I went from silver to something like Blue I think I would be disappointed.

I have solved them all numerous times. I enjoy them all but I feel like after doing the harder puzzles the easier ones just look so easy. It anything Bronze would be my favorite to re-open.
Silver has been back together several times and resolved and If it wasn't so inconsistent I would have it back together but its still apart along with gold.
I guess i worded what I said wrong. They are all fun to open over and over. I guess I meant even though they are all cool looking inside the more difficult are far more interesting looking

I personally feel that in order to justify paying the price on lets say the lime, I dont want to be able to solve it with ease. I want it to be extremely hard and difficult. Eventually, when I solve it (gotta start it 1st  ) id want something even harder. I wouldn't buy a maze that got easier to be honest.

The open moment for silver was sssssooooooooo fun for me than i would say silver range is dificult enough to have to work hard and still have a great moment when open it is amazing to say the least ..... But it come to GOLD that was bad even if it is a great design inside it is painfull to play whit and too hard .... But if they make more in the silver range i would buy them all .... Even that being said ..... I think that we Will See the planetary surprise all of us here that love mechanical puzzle ...

As for blue i think people that dont give the effort to open that one should never See a revomaze open

So here's the funny thing, at least to my mind... Gold is easier than Silver. If you take away the algorithm stuff, there's actually less going on in Gold than there is in Silver or Lime.

Now I'm not saying that Gold is easy, but there's less there that makes you wonder what the heck is going on. I believe that it's simpler to understand, and is also less flaky than silver in its behavior ...

Just my 2 cents ...

I just hate the gold what so ever (you know why juggler)
Every other puzzle are for me much more enjoyable

I love to ask myself what is going on rather than trying number or letter?!?!
