Calculators were made for the Gadget Show Live this year as a promotional tool. I understand Chris sent some out along with some Revos to clear out the remaining stock of these.

I don't know if there are any left now but those of you that didn't get one may want to email Chris or Emma.

Re: Is it a good idea to go straight to the Bronze?

Post by Gdamatov77 »

I figured this would be the right area to post this, cause it is quite related to what happened.

As some of you know, I go to a Community college. So I was about to leave for school today and got the idea to work on my bronze today while over there. I brought it, and ended up letting some friends work on it.
My personal thoughts going on in my head,

Their questions,

"So we have to get this thing out of this part?"
"Does it only go in this direction?"

After falling into the main reset:
"I got so close to getting it out." "No you didn't, that was a trap."

Previously telling that it will reset itself if done incorrectly:
"Why am I starting at the beginning?"

I was having so much fun. It was amazing

Gabi, I have to say that you should keep the puzzles at home. It's one thing to play while someone is paying you, but a whole different bag when you are paying someone so that you can be there..........

I think that he's saying that you shouldn't play with them during class and/or skip classes to play with them. If you're playing with them between classes, and don't have studying/coursework to do, it's probably not such a big deal.

To an extent, I'll admit that makes sense.
Don't you have coursework and studying you can be doing between classes though? Don't get me wrong, I understand the need for some downtime but I'll give you the advice of experience...take advantage of the time between classes to visit your profs office hours to get help when you need it. I think if I'd taken my own advice, my GPA would have been a fair bit higher, but I learned the value of this more in my 3rd and 4th year of college...
