- very nice premium feel, not too heavy but not light or “cheap”
- smaller than I imagined, but that makes it nice and portable
- external pin doesn’t bother me (I was unsure about that one) and it does mean it won’t easily roll off a surface if left unattended
- because it’s smaller, hands and fingers get tired a little faster… should fix itself once I train myself not to grip as tightly.
- unmistakable “revo” feel once inside the maze. I love/hate hearing that all too familiar click

I’ll play with it more later, so far not mapping and am considering not mapping at all to solve then reset without opening and mapping on the second go before opening (ie. the zackattack special!)
It looks really good! Thanks for the first impression review and picture. Looks like this could be a great move for RevoHQ.

I like that you will go for the zackattack special! :) It will be interesting to follow your progress.

I've done about an hour of traversing and exploring so far in total, hoping to get to do some more tonight but the last time I did put in a solid consecutive amount of time so slowly building a mental picture.

With the exit being "anywhere" I wonder how solid my mental map will be without actively mapping, as one has to keep track of a lot more locations of interest. Definitely makes it more of a challenge IMO.

Got about an hour of exploring after dinner, and have found some interesting areas. It'll be fun to eventually map it, but resisting the urge and hoping to make the solve last as long as possible. Cool thing is that it definitely feels like a revomaze... *click*

Sounds really good. It feel like a perfect way to solve this maze in. It will take much longer to solve it the first run and then the joy to spend time to map it the second run and when mapping I guess you probably will find a path here and there that you did not find in the first run.

I received my Black Lite yesterday. Finally a new Revo :D

Haven't played with it a lot yet. It unsurprisingly feels a little different from a standard Revo, but it's definitely still a Revomaze.
Won't have much time to puzzle today, but will post about my progress and impressions later.

Sounds great that there are several Black Lite puzzles that have reached their destination. I am looking forward to read your about progress and impressions!

Black lite

A few of us have finished the black lite now. I was a bit slower than some, but got there in the end. Maybe 10 to 12 hours? I mostly just pick a puzzle up for a while at night so it’s a bit hard to judge the solve time.

I would say it’s on the Emerald level of difficulty with a bit of Peach thrown in. It was a lot
of fun and it’s nice to get that solved Revo feeling back again. The knurling on the end of the shaft is a nice touch to help solving, although the smaller size will make it very “interesting” if the difficulty gets a lot higher with other puzzles. I also had to go back to mapping by hand as my old gripper would not fit.

I really hope the rest of the Lites get made as promised. They seem like a great addition to the Revomaze line.

Only recently got round to tackling mine (still stuck in the swamp in silver!) - a reasonably straightforward solve but still good fun!
