Do you think this will be straightforward for mapping?
That depends on the mapper ;)

Soon as Mike teaches everyone how to use Polar graph paper with the correct proportions, it should be reasonably doable. Until then...Mercury, we have a problem

Vcif.. Smooth.. very smooth :) ;)

Thanks on the pic. Not bad for a desktop shot with phone camera.

I've only moved the disk around and around with a little movement on the draw bar. It's definitely a different experience.

As for mapping. Curves.. curves curves.. angles... dangles.. twice the length from the middle to the edge!!! I just don't know! :(

Actually it looks like the first person to report getting theirs was in NY.

Mine hasn't reached customs at JFK yet. It's probably 3-4 days away. I might be wrong but the most likely explanation for some early deliveries is that some people told HQ to ship their Mercury with the short bar instead of waiting for Chris to install the longer bar. Just a guess.

That would explain it. I hope they'll get some attention.

I still haven't heard where the New York event is being held.

A compass might come in handy as well
