Jukebox sequential discovery puzzle RELEASE

Post by czuri »

Dear Puzzler Friends,

The Jukebox sequential discovery (SD) puzzle that me and my team have been working on in the last ~4 years is finally ready to be released. We are extremely proud and honoured that the puzzle recently won Jury Grand Prize at the 2024 Nob Yoshigahara Puzzle Design Competition held at the 41st International Puzzle Party in Houston, Texas. We are grateful for Steven Canfield (Boxes and Booze) and Brent Hessel (Fivesinatras), who took the time and wrote blog reviews about the puzzle. These, as well as additional information about the Jukebox can be found below. Today, moontreepuzzles.com has officially launched for a better showcasing experience of Jukebox with some backstage info on its development. We have made great efforts to create a complex, multi-step, enjoyable themed metal SD puzzle and make it desirable from both the solving and aesthetic point of view. We do really hope that the community will find the puzzle appealing.

If you are interested in our puzzle, please indicate your intention to purchase by reserving a copy via writing your full name, postal address and phone number to info@moontreepuzzles.com. Further information about the pre-ordering process and payment methods will be shared later on, once the primary list is finalized. I am happy to answer any further question regarding the puzzle, its solve/difficulty/etc. I can also share additional photos upon request. Here, I chose to keep the description as simple and spoiler-free as possible.

Cheers,
Daniel

Description:
Jukebox is a complex, CNC-machined sequential discovery puzzle including 15 steps (counting conservatively). Many steps require a series of movements and manipulations to challenge various sensory skills, dexterity and visual memory. Along the way, several tools can be found to help reveal 5 hidden compartments protected by intricate locking mechanisms. Solving all of them will lead to a satisfying ending.

The Jukebox comes in protective packaging, along with a description&instructions card, numbered and signed certificate of authenticity, solution sheet and a genuine chamois leather cloth.

Instructions:
The ultimate goal of the puzzle is to find the Wurlitzer token, insert it into the slot and reveal what music plays on the Jukebox. No excessive force, banging, tapping, shaking or external tools are necessary or allowed. Contains small parts, which may pop out. Keep away from children!
