Allard's Puzzle Blog

Post by allardwza »

It's all Oli's fault!!
Oli's blog has inspired me to finally start sharing my puzzles and thoughts puzzle-related in the form of a blog... actually I started it about a month ago, I just didn't tell anyone about it, but Oli found it anyway... and he encouraged me, so it's all his fault! [Thanks Oli!]

So Allard's Puzzling Times, or "...the occasional ramblings of a bloke who enjoys being puzzled..." can be found over at Puzzling Times - hope you like it...

Already following you, mate. :D

There's something about this community that makes people write/communicate about their experiences. This makes at least 4 of us with puzzle blogs started within the last few months!
Mine is at Puzzlemad

Neil (TheJuggler) is at Neil's puzzle building blog

Between all of us we should be able to give a lot of puzzle information to the revo group!

Disclaimer:

Oli does in no way take responsibility for the current plethora of puzzle blogs being started by members of the Revomaze forums. It may seem like it is entirely his fault, but it's not......despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Although if bloggers would like to show their appreciation to Oli by lending him their Stickman series of boxes that they may have recently won at an auction then he wouldn't complain. :D

I think not you wayward lad! Just look what you have started with your new-fangled ways and puzzling ideas. You are a very naughty boy Oli!
Just think about all of the drooling and avarice you have inspired (he said drooling and rolling his eyes wildly). You have broken allardwza and Kev1n, I am immune of course (he said reaching for a puzzle... that wasn't there). I have to go now, let's see now what was I doing, I must... I muusst resisttttt! :? :o

I am not a bad influence at all! How dare you suggest it! :o

Although (on a totally unrelated note) I have a couple of great puzzle recommendations for you. ;)

Bad influence! you are puzzle spawn... a produce of a diseased puzzle ridden experiment on the proliferation of puzzles in every form, shape and sub-classification. I must ask... have you got a puzzle tattooed on your scalp (a 6x6x6 burr perhaps)...

Go on then give me the low down on the puzzle suggestions... I promise I won't tell anyone. QUICKLY! I need it now

For the record, I started mine not necessarily to talk about the puzzles I own (which to be fair I really should do as well) but to record my experiences in creating my own puzzles.

I have done this in the past, I wrote about the creation of my Robot (http://thejuggler.net/khr). I think it's always useful to record what happens as you go through something new, that you can look back at over time, and that others may learn about.

I'm not concerned as to whether others read what I write but it's there for me, and the rest of the world should they be so inclined.
