Thank you!
I had searched online on Google, but then I got distracted by all the pictures and reviews of his puzzles, and never managed to find the address.
Now I found it... email sent!

Consider it a puzzle in order to buy puzzles.

That's exactly what I was thinking.Paradox wrote:Consider it a puzzle in order to buy puzzles.
And that's a good thing too... In less than a week I've spent more on puzzles than I spend in many months to buy gas for my car!

And none of them has arrived yet...
(If the wife finds out just how much I've spent - to say nothing on how much I'm planning to spend - I don't think I'll survive!

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!
Wil just replied to my email. He was nice, but it looks like he was in a hurry... he answered maybe half of my questions!
So maybe I can ask something here, without disturbing him again...
I want to buy a few of his cheaper puzzles, and am also intrigued by the aluminum cylinders. My question is, to quote an user of this forum: are the cylinders puzzles that I could solve while being locked in a padded room with no windows? I.e. can they be solved without extra tools, and without banging them onto a hard surface? (if the answer is a spoiler, maybe you can pm me...
)
My other question was about their "ruggedness"; I've read they're susceptible to jamming if tiny particles get in the way of the mechanism, and these tiny particles can come from normal wear too. I was wondering if this problem had been addressed...
Thanks again,
Cristian

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!
Start with the aluminum cylinder. And no force or tools need.
Also side note but welcome to the club! I too started with revos, then read all of these guys blogs, and started buying stuff left and right. And im still years behind them, but it is quite fun. Enjoy Wil's puzzles. They are all well made, fun, clever, and worth every penny.

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!
Yeh, there's little point bombarding Wil with lots of questions in one email.
We're talking about quality puzzles here... you'll never need any extra tools or hard surfaces with such puzzles.
In fact, when it comes to Wil's puzzles, if you do ever use a non-supplied implement (some have, mainly when resetting the bottle puzzles), don't tell Wil. Also, don't ask Wil for solutions either.
The only one that's had problems, to my knowledge, is the washer cylinder and Kevin's copy of the blue cylinder. I can't imagine you'll have issues though.

I'll have you know that I only have ONE broken puzzle in my possession and that is the AlCyl which, to this day, remains fused closed. No one has ever managed to open it and I have not yet had the courage to go against popular wisdom and to try WD40 on it.
As for the other broken puzzle? Well that is all a misunderstanding! My latest blogpost:
http://www.puzzlemad.co.uk/2013/01/puzz ... nk-so.html
tells the complete story of how I am PuzzleFixer NOT PuzzleBreaker!
In fact, my "occurrence" with the Lotus actually allowed me to understand its workings so well that I was able to advise others who shall remain named in my blog how to make it work consistently every time!
Remember - it's PuzzleFixer!!!!

Hi Kevin,
I was the one who gave you the link with the WD-40 and just used it on the Washer as well. If you want I can make a short video. So you can see the effect and won't be afraid,......
