Four-piece cube ordered from Pacific Puzzleworks! It's expensive for something so small but at least I can say I have a Krasnow piece in my collection! :D

You should've ordered some of his laser cut puzzles like I did. Much cheaper. :D

Hey Nigel, I've looked at that plenty times and just haven't done it yet. I have got a Girobrain on it's way instead.
I hope we will have them all in time for MPP.

I will bring the six Rocky bolts up for everyone to try.

the 4-piece cube is tiny but is an amazing little puzzle... I used to have a crummy version in wood - I need to get a better one!

bluesign2k wrote:Melting Block is indeed a great little puzzle, I got one from Wil a little while back.
I bought a few copies for friends at work last Christmas (not off Etsy) which looked exactly like the version in that image (with the red block) and cost pretty much the same in £. I guess they're made by the same company but the ones I got were being sold under the name of Redstone Box.

I'm not sure what wood was used for the box, it smelt really nice but was very prone to cracking. The ones I got had been shrink wrapped and that applied enough force to snap the rim around the lid. It was an easy fix on both of them but I know someone else who had similar issues with this variant too.

Anyway, I'm not saying this isn't a good deal - it's a cracking puzzle for the price! But its maybe just something to be aware of if they're the same versions.
Well my copy boutght of etsy arrived roughly 10 minutes ago and i have to say it looks great! i can see no damage or cracks of any kind and the box seems to be of very sturdy construction so i think these maybe made by someone else than who made the redstone boxes your referring to!

heres a pic for anyone interested in getting the copy available on etsy

My Krasnow 4 piece puzzle arrived today and it's a beauty (very small but beautiful nonetheless).

Image

It's made out of Stainless Steel, Brass, Copper and Bronze and you can see the machining work that's gone into it.

Come and see it at MPP5!!! ;)

Not overly challenging. The four parts are identical and it's a case of interlocking two matching pairs. The size makes it harder than it would otherwise be and the tolerances are good so you need to be precise with the movements.
