Anyone know what Roger's puzzles typically sell for? It's hard to believe the Lighter went for over $400.
There's no such thing as a typical price really, especially when it comes to Baxterweb.

Considering that they are extremely sought after collector's pieces that cannot be bought through anything other than private transactions from personal collections, and no more are to be made I'd say $400+ is to be expected.

Some Roger puzzles are considered rarer than others though, so prices can and will vary quite a bit.

There is no Typical price due to the fact they are rare and the rarer ones will generate lots of interest

I was also going to have a try for a Roger, but who knows how high they will go on Baxterweb. There's lots of other nice things on there too, so I'll be setting a max budget for everything I'm bidding on, and once one puzzle goes over that limit, I'll add whatever was bid on that puzzle to something else. Last time I was lucky and got 2 puzzles out of it. Who knows this time!

Someone seems to bid on each puzzle I want just before I try bid. I give up >.<

bwahaha, now I know what to bid on!

Seriously though, I am so tempted to just go on and bid 25% on everything, because why not?

Okay, that temptation may just get me into trouble. I put down my 25% bid on everything I even have a vague interest in. I will not bid above that, but right now, if I were to win . . . I'm out almost $400. My wife will kill me if I pay out more than $50 :p.

My theory is that people are going to start bidding seriously at the end of the process and I'll get booted off on all of them.

We'll see!

I know I know, newbie mistake, vote at the last minute only, right? Except Baxter auctions stay open an additional day each time bids increase anyway, so who cares. And, if there is a bid there, my theory is it will discourage someone else from making a 25% bid in the theory of "why the hell not".

Especially since my Judge's Gavel just showed up and is paid for! (ouch)

I'm only going for the one puzzle at the moment:

Contrary Card Case (MY-6)

If anyone else here is going for it do let me know and we can discuss max bids to avoid spending more than necessary. Even though it's likely to go much higher than my max bid anyway.
