If anyone is after a very interesting piece of geometric design then have a search on eBay for the Yoshimoto Puzzle. Very cool! ;)

OMFG!!! :o

How much??? :o

They're just plastic cubes held together by vinyl stickers

It would be different if they were aluminium

I had one of those as a kid. Great fun, but I'd not really call it a puzzle.

I found one on eBay last month for only 5 pounds, it was not gold/silver but multicolor and "well used". It is a marvelous 3d construction and fun to play with too. Indeed another puzzle to recommend.

Mine had one half red and one half blue, with white plastics. Where is the puzzle element?

Don't get me wrong, I played for years with this thing, but I never thought of it as a puzzle. Sure I created lots of different shapes with it, using either one or both halves.

Would love to know if there is some goal from it. And of course, now I need to go find mine in whatever moving box its still buried in.

Hence why I didn't call it a puzzle, because I agree in that I think it is more of a very interesting piece of geometric design. Although if you gave it to someone disassembled and told them to make certain shapes then it could prove a challenge even if not a very difficult one.

In case anyone is interested in a cheap (but "very used") yoshimoto cube, here is a link to eBay.
You may not want to buy this as a display piece, but it could still be fun to play with.

Just got another package from our good friend Wil

Houdini's Torture Cell - Now this is a bit simple but exciting none the less :D

Cast Donuts - now this is good and I'd put it right up there with the Cast Marble for coolness 8-) I'm pretty sure I'm missing the sort of killer move that the Marble has but I've managed to sort of do it

Cast Medal - Not all that difficult but surprisingly fun to mess about with :D
