Wow! That was quick work on Wil's first box... that's a tricky one!

I've managed to get Tritalon stuck a few times too, particularly if it was warm when I reset it.
It was luck, I didn't realize what I did until It opened up. Awesome puzzle though!

Any tips for un-sticking Tritalon? I mean, it's one heck of a puzzle now, but it's kind of not fair

-_- Maybe I'll try a freezer.

Well, I solved Wil's Cola Bottle #4. ( I think it is #4 ) :D What a great puzzle - a nice mixture of thinking and dexterity. I really enjoyed this one.

:D Yes, quite right. It's actually been re-asembled now, but using the correct method ;)

FOR SALE, CHEAP!!! Wil Strijbos Washer Cylinder Puzzle.
I ordered a washer cylinder puzzle and let a friend try it
out before I had opened it. He proceeded to lock it up
so that the cap would not turn. I proceeded(no brain/no
pain) to "loosen" it up by putting a cloth on top & base
so as not to scratch it up and used two channel locks to
break it free. I still ended up gouging the aluminum surface
and only making it worse. I have read elsewhere that the
tolerances are so close in this puzzle that even a small
piece of aluminum filing can jamb it so the cap won't turn.
I have read that others also had this problem, but didn't
say how they resolved it. Now I have a very expensive
cylinder of aluminum that is worthless. I don't like this
puzzle. :( boo hoo

Just to be clear have you managed to open the cylinder? as seizing of the mechanism shoudnt prevent you from opening it! when mine seized up it opened effortlessy it was just freeing the mechanism that allowed the cap to turn freely that was the hard part.
