A bit of a problem...

Post by Paradox »

Well....I was just telling Allard what puzzles I've got on the way and I've realised that I may have a bit of a puzzle 'problem'. :?

Puzzles that I recently added to my collection over the last week are:

Mindjewel (from Serious Puzzles),
Kel-Tec 15th anniversary bullet burr (from Kel-Tec),
Cyclone (from Puzzle This),
Panda Carrier (from Puzzle This),

Puzzles that I currently have on the way:

Pagoda puzzle box (from Puzzle Paradise Auction),
30 & 50 move Makishi puzzle boxes (from Makishi),
Two cheap puzzle locks (from Serious Puzzles),
7 & 10 initial move metal burrs by Wil Strijbos (from Wil),
Two Balls Labyrinth by Constantin (from Sloyd),
Mmmm packing puzzle by Iwahiro (from Sloyd),
Perpetual Hingle puzzle box by Robert Yarger (from Robert).

Oh dear...

At least there will be plenty of blog posts to keep me busy! :D

Also I also wanted to say that if you wanted my opinion on any of the puzzles that you can see on my Flickr page that I haven't reviewed yet just drop me a message, I'm always happy to talk puzzles with anyone who's interested. :)

In that case we will have to make sure we do a MPP2!

I got the mail from Wil as well - tempting, liked the apple and the aluminium burrs and see even the cylinder.

Also saw sloyd has a T2 and Vinco is about to show a load of new puzzles - too many temptations.
Open = Green, Blue, Bronze, Red, Black, Black V2, resting = Silver, started = Gold, ready for when Gold gets too much = Orange.

...there was a green apple (a cylinder and a couple of bottles, all by Wil) in the packages that arrived on Wednesday, in case you're interested...

I'd love to have a look at some of Wil's bottles properly, they look pretty clever!

And I did come across the apple before a little while ago in Village Games, it's absolutely tiny isn't it! As a puzzle it's not too clever but as a piece of engineering it is awesome! Out of curiosity; did your apple come with a ring inside?

...so far they look pretty daunting - I've got the one with the lock on the stick with the marble, and the one with the stick through the bottle with three locks on it...haven't even looked at them yet!

...yeah the apple is really cute - it is tiny! No idea if there's a ring inside it as it's still lcoked closed - in my defence I've taken it out, had a look at it and put it back in the box...so far the only ones I've actually played with are the Karakuri cakes...and I can't get one of those open yet!

A few new things on the way:

R2D2 (Roger D)
Alles Roger (Roger D)
Salt & Pepper Puzzle Box (Sandfield Brothers)
Gear Maze (Constantin)
Blackjack (Constantin)

Also I've been told that the Perpetual Hinge has now been shipped! I'm all excited about that now! :D

Hopefully I'll still have the Perpetual Hinge when we have the next MPP (I'm only borrowing it from Robert Yarger), so a few of us can get to try out a puzzle that we otherwise wouldn't be able to get hold of.

Perpetual Hinge sounds absolutely awesome...Until I saw you were getting it from him, I thought you might have been the one who won the auction for it ;)

Oli, you are growing a serious collection there in very little time. Good job!
