There was also a limited edition version that had orange rings instead, I think there were something less than 20 of those made.
From memory they're on the order of 150 mm in length and 50 mm in diameter - it's pretty big.

Thanks.. I saw the option for the orange and black.. they were for people who joined a specific group of purchasers, kind of like our voyager status.. I'm glad it is not a small puzzle.. Maybe if they would put a coin next to it, like Chris does, you could judge the size..

Yes they have started shipping. I've not got mine yet but hope to have it tomorrow

How do you know? I received an email last week stating that they were hoping to receive the packaging on Friday. But that's the last I heard.

Mine arrived yesterday. The puzzle looks and operates great. The box... it holds the puzzle but I'm not really sure the quality is in the same league as the puzzle

I guess many people (me included) aren't really interested in the box though.

I'll post some pictures tonight for those who were asking about it's size.

edit: Here it is. I figure you can all figure out the size from the given reference
