Great for a first post!

I think you do need to play with the 'visited links' colour setting. The usual links are just about bright enough to be seen, but the visited ones blend into the background a bit too well. Consider moving away from grey altogether. I was forced to after a good few readers said they had issues reading them. It's one of the drawbacks of us silly bloggers that chose a dark background.

Also, I'm in agreement with BarnDoor in that the second picture gives a bit much away. I reckon that 'small trick' actually makes up most of the solve time for the majority of puzzlers.

oh s**t, i just realised i read Barndoor's post wrong now. i see what you mean now, i didn't mention it purposely, but then posted the picture without realising i'll get that sorted!!

and i did change the colour slightly, but it's still not enough? guess i'll have another go at that then as well, thanks
