So, what does everyone else here do?
I sit around waiting for my bar exam results, while babysitting my bosses immigration practice that I will probably be taking over in the next several months.

So, biological research. Sounds exciting. I ask, why are we trying to teach bedbugs how to spread disease? Is that really a good idea? If they already generally don't spread diseases around, why should we be trying to give them diseases to spread? It just seems like a bad idea.mattangel1 wrote:Grad student. The issue isn't whether it is a good idea or not, but can we give these things a purpose in life. We've all seen the pictures of bed bugs, most fixed in harsh chemicals. They're nice enough to look at but if you ask one how its day is going, he will probably respond with "Rather bored". One day, some young scientist had an amazing idea: "What if we could make them do something instead of sitting in bed all day!?" Hence he started having them carry things around. He found that most of the useful items were much too large for his microscopic workforce and just smushed them into the ground. His only real option was to make them carry small things. Unfortunately, due to their limited size, all he could find were bacteria and viruses to serve as their cargo. Initially, they carried beneficial microorganisms, but being of very little brain started gathering other, more harmful, pathogens.maztec wrote:So, biological research. Sounds exciting. At this point, we can't exactly tell them to stop; it just wouldn't be fair! How would you feel if someone told you that you couldn't do what you were meant to do? So we just ignore them and let them go on their merry way.
