With that, gdamatov77 gets a sad face and chooses to buy some other random stuff until I become a multimillionaire to pay that cost. I really want the titanium even more now that I know I can't have it.

I'd say still save up man :) Hopefully there will still be some available at the end of the summer, so if you work when you're done with school for the semester, you could still raise the cash ;). Don't let your dreams die over a price increase.

Despite having said these were too expensive I've ordered a gold plated Collector's Edition Set. I got an unexpectedly large tax refund check and used part of it to pay for the CE set.

I decided to pre-order #177 for the CE set and the Orange. This matches the Silver that I'm still working on.

I guess this purchase qualifies as delayed gratification.

Just trying to gain general consensus here. I have... a miss matched pile of the revomazes now. Everything minus (gold obviously) and the Ti that will be in the CE. Are there many people that are looking to get the CE out of principal? Collecting? Whats the motivation if you already have the puzzles? (i should say im thinking i should get on the bus and buy one before i lose my chance!) But im just having issues with the rationality for myself. I'll have everything but the Ti and and all the little bells and whistles of the CE.

Thoughts?!

If you look back through the posts in this forum you might find only 5 or 6 people that have admitted ordering these sets. I'd bet there are more pre-ordered than that but it's impossible to tell. The price is a huge barrier to most of us. The uncertainty of delivery date is another. I think we'll only find out how many are sold when the owners start discussing their progress through the Ti maze. Don't hold your breath.

I was going to get a CE just so I could get titanium and sell my current #60 set but at that price it would be hard to justify.

I purchased CE set #20. Why? Well several reasons. I got into RevoMaze really early on. Sets 1-12 were not available and were going to be sold on eBay; #13 was for Revomaster; and a couple between 13 & 20 were already taken. 20 seemed like a solid number and at that moment i chose to collect the entire #20 set. at that time there were only 5 puzzles. Revomaze has twice that many now (10+1 metals, 19 total). so for me, not getting the Ti or HM #20 was really not an option. I could either sell what I had, or buy what I didnt.

For me collecting is only for my personal enjoyment. some people say they collect because "one day it will be worth something." Honestly, it doesnt matter, i'm not going to sell it. besides if it costs me $2000 for the puzzles, i'd have to sell them for $6000 in 20 years for them to be as equally successful as randomly throwing my money into the stock market.

So Its about supporting Chris, supporting RevoMaze, and completing Series I. From the end of series I to beyond, i'll have another huge descision to make, and with many of the kinks worked out i'm sure more complex and varient puzzles will come out and ant a much faster rate. i'm not sure i'll want to continuouslt shell out $ for ever #20 out there. I just dont make enough, but we'll see.

I would totally buy a ce set just to collect but priorities have changed and I cannot spend money carelessly anymore. I missed out on the handmade and now i may never be able to get a hold of one. Not that revomaze is a bad thing but I need to put my money elsewhere now to support my home.
