I believe the First batch of 20 were intended to be a first-come first served to help new-comers. As such, they are labeled with an "SE" along with the serial number, which the buyer could choose whatever number they wanted, whether part of a numbered/reserved series or not....so they are ...

More complex puzzles with dynamic elements will not fair well with large amounts of standing lubricant and could cause things to behave unsatisfactory. This looks like a V2 Pro to me... (Pretty sure there is NO V1 pro) The dot/hole you are seeing is not the ending... Keep on solving. When it's complete you should be able to remove the core.

You can use 3 in 1 oil for cleaning once opened. Found at most hardware stores for less than $5.
As a side note...not all mazes will respond well to lube when unsolved. It can make "things" stick. The puzzles should function great dry.
