Re: It's BAXTERWEB time!
Hmm. It doesn't actually say that it failed to open, it says "Mechanism not successfully tested". which I thought meant that it had not been opened yet, not that it was likely to be broken. Well now I'm not sure whether to keep it as a collection piece, or attempt to force it open and fix ...

Re: It's BAXTERWEB time!
Oh.
Is it fixable? Maybe I can force it apart and see if it can be mended/re cast....

Re: It's BAXTERWEB time!
Thanks Maztec and Paradox, So it sounds like the auctions might be a quarterly thing, if they are regular. Hmm. On the one hand I would love a Roger puzzle, but on the other I am saving up to buy a milling machine & lathe. I still have a few days to decide, and I guess there's always next time :...

Re: It's BAXTERWEB time!
Hi, all, I am new to puzzle auctions. I would love to bid on a couple of items, but they are already near what I would be able to pay for them, and I have noticed that what goes for $500 one year sold for $85 the next! I would really like to know how often are these auctions run? Once a year, or mor...
