Bronze necessary before Silver?

Post by james_dolezal »

I'd first like to say how happy I am that I found these puzzles. I'm a college student and don't have oodles of money oozing from me, so I decided to skip the blue and go for the green. I started yesterday, and after 10 hours or so of finger-numbing frustration, I finally got it solved :) I'm really anxious to get another one started, but I'm not sure where to begin.

I know there aren't many people who have solved the silver, but in your opinion, is the Bronze necessary to solve before the silver? I'm hoping I can get the gold one as well (though I haven't pre-ordered yet) so I don't want to buy the bronze if it's not imperative.

Have any thoughts or recommendations for me? Thanks!

(and yes, I realize that I should have bought the Obsession series... I didn't discover them until after I bought the Green Extreme)

Nothing is necessary, But I think that it helped to have the features presented one or two at a time instead of all at once. But it is possible but it would be daunting.

I don't have the green, but I can imagine what's in it based on the bronze. There are only a few tricks and logic puzzles in the bronze that make it a difficult puzzle. I feel like the only difference between that and the green is a few more hours of pain. The edge that the bronze gives to the silver is: "Hmm...that's interesting...that's a bit like the bronze what's so bad about this puz..."....*CLICK*

It's a beast, but you can do it.

Nah green is a different beast all together. It's the hardest out of the series to open again and again. Matt if you don't have the green I suggest you get it. It's so frustratingly evil!

I find the Silver the easiest to repeat open... Maybe not the quickest to open, mind you...

Much easier! Once you know the fundamentals of silver it's pretty easy. Green constantly makes me angry. Maybe that's just me though. I'm sure some people breeze right through green.

The Silver is by far the easiest of the puzzles, once you have it figured out. Until then, it is by far the most difficult in the series.

On the other hand, I would venture a guess that if you had played with the Silver for a while, the Bronze would be significantly easier.

Green is like driving down a steep, winding mountain road at night, in the fog, blindfolded.

The road is covered with ice and it's just started to rain.

You've been driving for 15 hours and you keep nodding off. Your hands and wrists feel like rusty old clamps.

Your brakes don't work.
