Yeah, I wondered about that statement as well. The first half, "If there is no force needed..." is spot on, then the second half seems to contradict it. Yes, gravity is all that is ever needed to properly solve this. No force.

Really enjoyed this puzzle but I wish the tolerances didn't allow for incorrect solves.

I’m not sure I can say much more without giving something away, but the last piece should drop right in with no force yet when the box is solved if it is turned upside down, nothing falls out.

Hmmm....well darctangent I'm confused by your statement there. If it falls in easily will it not also fall out easily? Mine does anyways when solved. I found a YouTube video of Dr. Latussek solving it and it appears he does it the same way I am. I've sent you a PM out of curiosity. :ugeek:

Seriously. Me too. I drop the last piece in. I turn it over, it drops out. Now, I can find a way to hold it so that when I turn it over everything is kinda locked, but that's just friction, not mechanical. If I shake it a bit, that friction is overcome and I get my last piece in my hand again...

@doc81 can you shoot me a quick PM one you two figure this out :-) ?
