Replacement Pin

Post by guiltyjoe »

It was my fault for not being careful. I lost the pin.

But to charge someone $43.14 to replace a pin is absolutely insane.

These are great puzzles and I paid it because otherwise my puzzle is useless.

But with the cost of these puzzle maybe we could get a replacement pin with the original puzzle.

I understand that there are costs to everything, including shipping to the US, etc. But I can't see a justification for this cost.

I am sincerely disappointed considering that I have four of these puzzles. That is a serious investment in and of itself. I cannot understate how disappointing it was to have to pay that much money for a tiny pin.

Just my opinion. Wanted to put it out there.

While I do not disagree keep in mind (as far as I know) all but copper use the same pin(s) so you can open another and use its pins keeping whichever open.

I was able to get a spare from a member luckily... mine was bent

A lot easier with a straight pin...

Agreed. It is very hard to understand the high price when you just need a single pin, and the high shipping costs for something that can be sent in a simple envelope.
Maybe HQ can look into this for you? We all know how easy these pins can be lost.

What is the weight of the pin? Who knows..............maybe the pin is made out of platin and 1 gram platin cost around 29 USD.

You’re right. Forgot about that.
But, no change, and for me still not clear why the high price. And why wouldn’t you sell single pins, as that is what people lose most of the time: one single pin.

Then at least you have a second for the next time you lose one and dont want to pay INTL shipping again. I am happy to pay that price to be able to use my $200+ puzzle again personally

What would the cost be to ship an extra set with each unit? A dollar? Two? Can't be much in bulk wholesale for some pins...
