Rainer Popp - Popplocks
Re: Rainer Popp - Popplocks
Very jealous! Looks lovely though. I hope I hear something in the New Year.
Re: Rainer Popp - Popplocks
Now that looks lovely! Sadly I'll have to wait to solve someone else's at some point in time as I won't be able to get one this time around.

Re: Rainer Popp - Popplocks
How does one get the opportunity to buy one of these locks?

Dear lock and puzzle friend,
T11 is still a huge amount of work for me, so I have decided to start selling them before I am finished with the assembly of all of the locks.
The sale of my locks will be organised differently this time around.
I have a list with all of the names on my newsletter.
The list comprises of a mixture of regular customers, new customers and different nationality’s.
The first 10 people with offers will get an email from me soon.
I will give you enough time to decide whether you want the T11 or not, but you should let me know as soon as you can please. The price will be 750€ (incl VAT)
As soon as the first 10 received their locks the next 10 will follow and so on.
My trading partners will be getting T11 last, due to the fact that there are less than 100 T11, I won't be able to provide each partner the usual number.
I hope I have found the fairest solution to handle the sale.
Important:
The list is not public.
I won't make any statements regarding the order.
Best regards,
Rainer Popp

Thanks for the speedy reply!
Does anyone know where the T11 is supposed to fit in in terms of difficulty? I'm getting a lot more into these puzzle locks, but I know I'm also not the best at them. Wouldn't be super interested in getting a puzzle that I just can't solve!

Re: Rainer Popp - Popplocks
I'm guessing this will be the new second hardest trick lock out there... I believe the T1 is the most complicated currently and will remain as such. I would say the T10 is the second hardest to solve with the T4 coming in 3rd. After that it's becomes more subjective IMO

Re: Rainer Popp - Popplocks
I thought I was on the mailing list but didn't receive anything. What is the situation with the T3? How many have been remade and is it a different version or the same? Does Rainer intend to reproduce others?
Cheers

Re: Rainer Popp - Popplocks
It is the same version than T3 with "2nd edition" engraved on it, there willl be a total of 50 pieces made, there is no other reedition planed for now and I need one!!!!
Happy new year to all of you!!!

Re: Rainer Popp - Popplocks
This is definitely not a fair situation. It's fair if everyone has the same chance to get the puzzles, which is not the case.prodigy wrote:This is the information from Rainer:Luke1705 wrote:How does one get the opportunity to buy one of these locks?

In my opinion the more fair thing if the following:
-the puzzle is listed on the website of the designer/seller so everybody can buy it
-and to be even more fair, 1/3 of the puzzle is booked for America, 1/3 for Europe and 1/3 for Asia during the first 24 hours.
-after the 24 hours, anybody from everywhere on the planet can buy it.
This is better because it allows people from different timezones to buy the puzzle. And if an European guy, for example, miss the puzzle because the stock is empty for his timezeone, then he still have a chance after the 24 hours.
When you buy online, the system should determine what is the timezeone depending on your address. And nobody can cheat because a US can does not have a Japanese address....
