I've started the handmade, and I have mapped about the first quarter of the maze. I can consistently make it to the path of recuperation, as I like to call it. Wow, lots of dexterity challenges so far! I'm anticipating some thinking moments in the near future as well. It's nice to have a new puzzle to map.

I finally found some time to play with the handmade a little more. I don't have a lot to report, but I think I discovered something interesting in the infinite loop. Now I just need to learn how to control it…

Repetition and persistence have paid off! I'm into the back half of the puzzle. It's interesting to see the difference in shaft color - the back half of the maze hasn't ever seen the light of day until now and is a particularly shiny bronze.
