I would never spend 2000 pounds on a Revo. I will wait patiently for someone that wants to part with a black or purple revo. It will happen..

I personally feel that 2000GBP is WAY too much. Just a way to infuse cash into RevoHQ by deep pocket puzzlers.
maybe 500 is reasonable for something that rare. In any event, hope to solve one someday.

My guess is that startup cost would be a substantial part of that sum. So if, say, 20 people wanted the same thing, you would be looking at a totally different figure.

I also think it is to respect all owners of these limited puzzles and the persons that have bought a second hand version for this amount. Not fun for current owners if you can buy a new for a better price than the second hand versions.

I'm not really a collector, but that is a fair point I guess. But would'nt it be OK if a new edition was easily distinguishable from the original? In that way the original limited number would still be intact, and anyone who wanted to experience the intricacies of the maze could buy a commemorative edition...?

I think this discussion pops up every time a limited edition puzzle pops up. What I really liked about the early puzzles was that there was a plastic version available (red and black included). Purple, however, has bits in it that don't easily lend themselves to that material. Hopefully you'll find one at a reasonable price or find someone willing to lend you one.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, and even though it means I may never see a Purple, let alone own one, I definately agree with this, it is an exclusive maze, even making a commemorative version could devalue an original :?
Solved -- Blue & Blue Pro, Green Obs, Bronze, Salmon, Titanium, Aqua & Gunmetal
